After School Dismissal and Pickup
Here's how it works:
You tell us your how your student usually travels home from school each day and we will enter it into our system as the default mode of transportation. At this time, we can accommodate two modes.
Each day, the student is automatically put into the correct dismissal line based on what we have in our system. If the student is traveling home in the manner you specified for that day you will not have to fill out the online form.
If the student is traveling home in a manner different than the mode you specified for that particular day, or the student is being picked up by someone other than who you specified as a a pickup person, you need to fill out the online form in the portal.
If at anytime you need to change your default mode of transportation just contact the school and they can switch it for you.
Set Your Default Pickup Mode
We need to know how your student will usually travel home from school each day. Currently, we can accommodate up to two modes. Once we have this in the system you will only have to fill out our online form if something changes in the mode of transportation for a particular day. If you have more complicated pickup scenarios or maybe three different ways your student will use to get home - you will have to choose two scenarios that are most consistent and then fill out the online form for the other days. We have outlined a few scenarios below.
Scenario 1: Student travels home on the same bus every day
We just need to know the bus route that will be used each day. You will only have to fill out the form if the bus route changes or someone is picking the student up in one of the parking lots at the end of the day.
Scenario 2: Student gets picked up each day - consistently by the same people
We just need to know the parking lot that will be used each day and the names of one or two people that will be the usual pickup people. You will only need to fill out the online form if the parking lot changes, if the student will be picked up by a bus, or if the student is being picked up by someone other than your designated pickup people.
Scenario 3: Student travels on two different busses.
Ex: C1 Bus - Mon, Tue, Fri // YMCA Bus - Wed, Thu
We need to know bus route 1 and the days of the week it will be used and we need to know bus route 2 and the days of week that bus route is used. You will not need to fill out the form unless a bus route changes for a particular day or the student is being picked up
Ex: Monday, student is being picked up instead of using bus C1 - you need to fill out the online form to let us know
Wednesday the student is using bus C1 instead of YMCA - you need to fill out the online form to let us know.
Scenario 4: Student travels on a bus part of the week and is picked up other days
Ex: 3-5 Lot Mon, Tue, Wed by Jane Doe or John Doe // YMCA Bus - Thu, Fri
We need to know the bus route and days as well as the pickup people and days. You will not need to fill out the form unless a bus route changes for a particular day or the student is being picked up by someone other than who you told us would be a regular pickup person.
Ex: Monday, student is being picked up by grandma (Jill Doe) instead of Jane or John - you need to fill out the online form to let us know. If grandma will be a regular pickup person, let us know and we can add her to the list as a regular pickup person.
Thursday the student is using bus C1 instead of YMCA - you need to fill out the online form to let us know.
Scenario 5: Student is picked up by different people on different days of the week.
Ex: 3-5 Lot Mon, Tue, Wed by Jane Doe or John Doe // 3-5 Lot Thu, Fri by Kate Smith or Albert Smith
We need to know the pickup people and days. You will not need to fill out the form unless the pick mode changes or the student is being picked up by someone other than who you told us would be a regular pickup person for that day.
Ex: Monday, student is being picked up by grandma (Jill Doe) instead of Jane or John - you need to fill out the online form to let us know. If grandma will be a regular pickup person, let us know and we can add her to the list as a regular pickup person.
Thursday the student is being picked up by uncle Joe instead of Kate or Albert - you need to fill out the online form to let us know.

We know plans change. If your student is not traveling home in their usual manner on a particular day, we have a way for you to let us know. 1. Login to the parent portal. 2. Click Surveys. 3. Fill out the form.
